All Trainees sitting the FRACP exams are rostered set periods of study leave and on occasion annual leave is coincided to give better preparation.

Trainees can choose to job share during job application phase and this provides the opportunity to work a few weeks on and a few weeks off. The Consortium recognises the importance of examination preparation and success to its' trainees and aims to ensure optimal training opportunities. BPT2s are rostered leave around the time of the 2-week revision courses in Melbourne, Sydney and Dunedin, providing an opportunity to attend 1 of the 3 courses prior to sitting the Written exam.
