Trainees interested in joining the Central North West Basic Physician Training Consortium at BPT1, BPT2 or BPT3/3+ levels are required to apply online to both the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) at https://app.pmcv.com.au/aps and also to the Austin Health and/or Northern Health recruitment websites at www.austin.org.au/careers/junior-medical/ or www.northerndoctors.org.au.
Positions are also recruited directly by Bendigo Health outside of the PMCV match; please contact Bendigo MWU for further information.
Our CNW Regional Training Pathway offers trainees a unique training experience with 50% of rotations undertaken in metro health services, and 50% of rotations in regional settings within the consortium. This program offers full access to the CNW education program, including access to streamed education sessions from Austin and Northern Health, a variety of rotations to meet the BPT rotational requirements within 3 years of training, and access to mini clinical mock examinations on top of the CNW clinical exam preparation program.
All trainees within the Central North West Consortium will receive access to the shared consortium education program, including a BPT1 stepping up program; BPT2 written exam tutorial series, mock examination, and preparation resources; and BPT3 comprehensive clinical exam preparation program consisting of a structured weekly long case and short case tutorial series, public long cases, specialty short case mock days, a half-day mock examination, and online booking system for access to individual tutorials and virtual patients for long case preparation. Exam preparation for the divisional written and clinical examinations continues to be shared across all consortium sites.
Please follow the instructions on all careers sites carefully and note important dates.
